IMPACT NOTICE: Soil Removal @ Marvin Avenue
As part of the PAVING AND GREEN SCHOOLYARD PROJECT at Marvin Avenue Elementary School, we will install approximately 100,000 square feet of new asphalt at the main playground, kindergarten playground areas, and parking lot. The work will also include replacing concrete sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, as well as applying a solar-reflective coating to help reduce surface heat. To achieve the goals of this project, large amounts of soil will be removed and replaced throughout the campus.
Trucks hauling soil away will travel from Apple Street to Hauser Street, pass Marvin Avenue, and then turn either left or right. We expect about 10 trucks per day, weather permitting. Soil deliveries will enter through Curson Street and be brought either to the parking lot or the south side of the playground area. The soil removal is scheduled to begin on September 2, 2025, and continue through October 31, 2025.
